Experience has taught us to apply only natural methods to vine cultivation, and not to use irrigation, artificial fertilisers or insecticides. Only humus. This makes the plants use the maximum amount of water and minerals, so they become more resistant and produce healthy and complex grapes, which gives wine elegance and nobility. This practice is passed from generation to generation, constantly evolving and improving.
The Brda soil was deposited on the surface of the hills by ancient oceans. Wind, rain and sun have ground, washed and heated it for thousands of years. The result is opoka, a soil rich in minerals from the Earth’s ancient history, which enables us to produce unique wines with a recognizable terroir.
Numerals has the ideal climatic conditions for growing wines. In the Primorska region, the sun generously warms and the warm wind caresses the curves of the Goriška Brda hills. Our vines are carefully selected and grown according to traditional methods.
Numerals One breathes the new vision of the Simčič family into a unique experience of exceptional quality. It’s all about the ritual, hard work and the fine taste paired with exclusivity. This type of wine has inpired the creators of ‘Call It Amber’, an immersive documentary that takes the viewer on a journey back to the origins of amber wine – an ancient style that has suddenly experienced a resurgence in the last decade.

The One brings together the best of two wines, Sauvignon Vert and Rebula, hand-picked from vineyards of 90 and 80 years. And makes them stand out through an extreme selection of our all-natural traditional winemaking methods where only the best 5% pass the test of greatness. A limited-edition of 1000 bottles. Carefully selected varieties of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, all picked from our oldest CRU vineyards and composed into a noble, elegant and timeless blend elevate this wine to an aristocrat among the red classics. This exeptional wine is limited to 1.333 bottles only.
